What Have I Been Carrying That Was Never Mine?

We inherit more than eye color and last names. We carry beliefs, burdens, silence, and shame. Some of it was handed to us. Some of it we picked up just to survive.

This month, ask yourself:

What pain, expectation, or identity have I been holding that doesn’t belong to me?

Who gave it to me—intentionally or not?

What would it feel like to finally put it down?

Write without filters. Cry if you need to. Rage if you must. But tell the truth.
