For a while, I fell off. I stopped posting, stopped sharing, and maybe even stopped listening to my own rhythm. I think we all do that sometimes when the weight of the stories we carry becomes too heavy to process in real time.

But in that silence, I realized something vital: the stories don’t go away just because we stop telling them. They just wait for us to find a new way to speak.
The Multi-Layered Truth
I’ve returned to The Self Story Project because I realized that a single medium could never hold the complexity of our lives. My passion has always been a tapestry, and from now on, this space will reflect that.
You’ll find me here in the words that dissect the quiet moments of healing. You’ll hear me in the songs that carry the raw vulnerability I can’t quite put into a sentence. And you’ll see me in the comic strips—because sometimes the only way to survive the everyday is to find the humor and the absurdity in our own internal monologues.
The Twist: Fashion as a Language
Then there is the twist. You’ll see a lot more of my view on fashion here, but it isn’t about trends or what’s “in.”
For me, fashion is a psychological response. It’s a dance. It’s a way of moving through the world that acknowledges our lived experiences and even our trauma responses.
I don’t follow the industry’s rules because I move to my own rhythm. I dress for the woman I am today—the one who has survived, the one who is healing, and the one who finally understands that what we put on our bodies can be a shield, a celebration, or a sanctuary.
Why I’m Back
I created SoulSpace by Kysha Ann and returned to this project because I want to bridge the gap between our internal realities and our external expressions.
This is a movement rooted in honesty. It’s for the ones who have been told their story was “too much” or didn’t matter.
It’s for the ones who learned to shrink just to be accepted.
I’m back because my story is sacred.
And so is yours.
Welcome to the new chapter of The Self Story Project. Let’s see what happens when we finally stop carrying what was never ours, and start owning what is. 💜
