About Kysha Ann

Welcome to The Self Story Project.

I'm KyshaAnn, writer, storyteller, advocate, and founder of Soul Space by KyshaAnn.

For much of my life, I've been fascinated by the stories people carry. The stories we tell. The stories we hide. The stories that shape our relationships, our healing, and our understanding of who we are.

The Self Story Project was born from a simple belief:

Our stories matter.

Not just the polished chapters. Not just the victories. The messy parts matter too. The grief. The survival. The healing. The becoming.

This space exists for those who have ever felt overlooked, misunderstood, or silenced. It is a place where vulnerability is honored, healing is explored, and personal growth is approached with honesty and compassion.

Behind the Voice

Many people ask where my perspective comes from.

My voice is shaped by both lived experience and academic study. I believe healing is both an art and a science. It requires compassion, curiosity, self-awareness, and sometimes the courage to face difficult truths.

My educational background includes:

  • Master's Degree in Trauma and Disaster Relief

  • Master's Degree in Health Information Management

  • Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness with a concentration in Contemporary Alternative Medicine

  • Advanced Training in Cognitive Behavioral Approaches

  • Diploma in Community Psychology

My professional and educational experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, emotional wellness, community health, and the complex ways people adapt to life's challenges.

What You'll Find Here

The Self Story Project explores topics such as:

  • Trauma and healing

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Boundaries and relationships

  • Personal growth

  • Mental and emotional wellness

  • Faith, resilience, and hope

  • Storytelling as a tool for healing

You'll also find reflections, creative writing, music, visual storytelling, comic strips, and conversations that examine what it means to heal while still living real life.

Why This Work Matters

I believe stories have the power to break cycles.

When we tell the truth about what we've survived, we create room for healing. When we share our experiences, we remind others that they are not alone. When we reclaim our voices, we give others permission to do the same.

The Self Story Project is more than a blog.

It's a living archive of healing, growth, reflection, and hope.

Thank you for being here.

Your story matters too.
