You Are Stronger, Wiser, and You Can Make It On This Journey…….

                                  Introduction:

It is important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually, and physically because it helps to maintain confidence in the practices you have work to develop in order to experience the full benefits of overall health and wellness.   Each individual you approach will have a more relaxed essence about them selves and feel more comfortable when they see your progress you have maintain in your life. Ever area of my life I need to make sure that I don’t loose sight of my psychologically, spiritually, and physically they all work together to make me to be a survivor, a believer, a student, wife, mother, and a friend on this journey.
                   II.                 Assessment:
When you’re seeking spiritual wellness and balance in your own life, look within.
Wellness Spiritually- 9; I believe the mind/body/spirit needs to be in balance for you to live a healthy and fulfilled life. However, what is balanced and right for one person may not be for another. Therefore, I choose not compare myself to others and seek to find what my purpose, and density is on this journey.
Physically- 6; because I am steady a work in progress who is seeking to empower my nutrition and my body performance.
Physical wellness has always been a  concerned of mines and taking  personal responsibility for my own health care, while at the same time embracing a more natural approach to my health and wellness . Such as caring for minor illnesses and knowing when to seek professional medical attention.

Psychologically Wellness -8 ; Every area of my life need to be at a balance, the physical benefits of looking good and feeling great most often lead to the psychological benefits of enhanced self-esteem, self-control, determination and a sense of direction. Often times since our bodies and brains are connected. (American

Psychological Association, n.d.) Stress can take a toll on our physical health, while physical challenges can also bring new stress into our lives. By understanding how stress impacts our health and what steps we can take to stay emotionally balanced, we can lay the foundation for complete wellness. (American Psychological Association, n.d.)

  III.                       Goal development:
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.
Physical- My three main goals:
Good nutrition/ cooking or when dining out
Have an appropriate weight
Make sure I am exercising a lease 60 minutes three times a week
Psychological (mental health) - My three main goals:
                   Drink plenty of water
             Positive thoughts
           Get enough sleep
Spiritual- My three main goals:

Become open to my creativity

Trust my inner discernment

Pray and mediated daily

   IV.        Practices for personal health:
A healthy spirituality, physical and psychological allows us to find inner peace throughout all the events of life, whether good or bad. I choose to learn day by day to stop and enjoy the moment and appreciate the depth of life. I will implement theses things in my life:

Seek to develop a relationship with Yahweh (God).
Take time alone to reflect on my life.
Care for the welfare of my family and others whom I come in contact with.
Practice forgiveness and compassion
Let go of unnecessary distractions.

                  V.                       Commitment:
Change doesn't happen over night it’s a process so keep pushing forward!
Health and Wellness has become apart of my life, for the 6 years or so and everyday I build off of the next even when I stumble. This is not a fad for me, this is a lifestyle and one I want to carry on into my old age. I will use what I have learned on my journey and the nuggets that have been toss my way by others and apply them to my life and use them as stepping stones to get to the next level.

Another day on this Journey.........

Despite the fact that stress increasingly touches the life of almost every American and that there are lifestyle changes that can help to relieve some of the worst aspects of stress. (Sifferlin, 2013).  HW410 Stress: Critical Issues in Management and Prevention was a very insightful course for me and I rather enjoy it. I believe I would how to choose two particular groups to discuss why stress management and prevention needs more focus on.

Children under the age of 17 may be unable recognize that are stress out or feeling overwhelmed. In our society today there is enormous impact on a child's feeling safe and security this can create a lot of emotions and stress. However, our young adults between 18 and 33 years old are tend to more  stressed than the rest of the population, according to a new report from the American Psychological Association.

In my client assessments I would address lifestyle and behavior changes  anxiety, insomnia, muscle pain, high blood pressure and a weakened immune system also how stress if not managed right can contribute the development of major illnesses.
