Favorite Quotes
One quote I live by is:
“Always be humble and kind.”
As an artist, the quote that anchors my work is:
“The premise of my art is to expose and heal. One cannot heal if you don’t see the parts that are broken. So the exposure, while brutal, is a necessary madness.”
About My Work
I am an artist—an actress, writer, and poet.
I began creating through poetry at a young age as a way to process and heal. Over time, that expression evolved and opened the door into acting, which has been my primary career for the past five years.
At the core of everything I create is one intention:
to expose and to heal.
What Brings Me the Greatest Joy
Leaving a positive impact on people.
Knowing that something I created helped someone feel seen, understood, or less alone—that’s everything.
Proudest Accomplishment
In this season of my life, it’s not external.
It’s inner peace and acceptance.
Something People Might Not Expect
I don’t actually enjoy dressing up.
The makeup, the heels—it’s part of the performance. But in real life, I prefer being bare-faced, comfortable, and relaxed in something oversized. My mother used to call them “moo-moos,” and honestly, that’s still my preference.
Something I Wish I Knew Earlier
That I wasn’t alone in what I was going through.
That understanding would have changed how I carried a lot of things.
What’s On My Bookshelf
A mix of:
- Plays
- Poetry collections
- Acting resources
And honestly, anything that captures my interest when I have the time.
Three Conversations I’d Love to Have
- My ex — not for closure, but for clarity. I would tell him I forgive him, that he was wrong about me, and thank him for the art his presence inspired.
- Oprah Winfrey — because her journey reflects so much of what I aspire to. I would share how deeply I resonate with her story and the path she’s created.
- John Keats — one of my favorite poets. His life and work have always held a certain depth that I’d want to understand more personally.
Advice to the Reader
Embrace change.
Speak when you’re happy.
Speak when you’re hurting.
Silence holds too much when it doesn’t have to.
Your voice—used honestly—can shift more than you realize.
